Axel Hellmann

Born in Würzburg in 1971, Axel Hellmann undertook legal training in his hometown, in Bristol (England) and in Berlin before going into practice as an assessor and lawyer in Frankfurt in 2001, where he was a partner in a law firm specialising in commercial law from 2007 to 2011. From 2003 to 2011, he was a member of the Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. Executive Committee. Between 2003 and 2012, he also served as both Managing Director of Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. and as a member of the Supervisory Board of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG, the Management Board of which Axel Hellmann joined in June 2012 – with responsibility for the areas of marketing, communication, merchandising, fan support and strategy. Axel Hellmann has been CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG since May 2021. He has also been a member of the DFL e.V. Executive Committee since the DFL General Assembly in August 2022 and has been a member of the Supervisory Boards of DFL Digital Sports GmbH and Sportec Solutions AG as well as the DFB Management Board since September 2022. Moreover, he was appointed to the UEFA Club Licensing Committee in July 2022.
