Our mission statement

Our position

Germany is characterised by diversity. Our society is fit for the future when it utilises the potential of everyone who lives in Germany – especially our young people. But there are many obstacles to achieving this. Starting life on an uneven playing field, for example, can hinder children and young people in their ability to exploit the opportunities available to them.

As a foundation originating in the world of professional football, where millions of fans passionately follow the fortunes of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, we feel a strong obligation to contribute to society. We want to help young people to be their best selves and to participate in a society characterised by solidarity and diversity.

Our vision

Young people in Germany have the opportunity to prosper: they grow up healthy and active. Talented athletes are great role models and utilise their potential. All children and young people play an active role in a society characterised by solidarity and diversity.

Our approach

We promote, initiate and support a range of Germany-wide programmes together with strong partners, networking and complementing the mostly local campaigns of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs. We also promote third-party initiatives. In addition, we harness the influence of professional football and its role models in a targeted manner to raise awareness of socially important issues.

Child protection

It is extremely important to us that the projects we promote provide young people with a safe space in which they can flourish unhindered and where their rights are respected. Through our child protection concept, we want to take preventive action against threats to the well-being of children and young people.
